Our Events

Sydney University Medical Society and its affiliates run numerous events throughout the year.

Check out our upcoming events by subscribing to our events calendar!

Med Camp

As one of the first events in the SUMS calendar, MedCamp runs over 2-3 days and is a great way for first years to connect, let off some steam and get a taste of what SUMS has to offer.

Med Ball

One of the highlights of the SUMS calendar, MedBall is hosted annually across some of Sydney’s best venues and features three course meals, live DJs and of course, a chance to dance.

Med Revue

MedRevue is SUMS’ premier artistic event, allowing first year students full creative control to direct, produce and act. Every year, profits raised are donated to charities selected by the cast and crew.

Marie Bashir Address

The Marie Bashir Address is an evening celebrating the achievements of women in medicine and fosters mentorship between students and members of the medical community.

Lambie-Dew

The Lambie Dew Oration is the keystone scholarly event in the SUMS’s calendar, in which an Orator who has made major improvements in health addresses an audience of undergraduates, medical students and alumni in the Great Hall.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sydney University Medical Society and its affiliates provide a diverse array of sponsorship opportunities.

Sponsors are involved with the 1200+ medical students in our society from all stages. This ranges from exposure in publications and social media through to numerous orientation, academic and social events throughout the year. We rely on sponsorship in order to be able to offer students these opportunities, and would greatly appreciate your support.
